Heart & Stroke VIP 50/50 Draw Lottery Spring 2018 Rules & Regulations
By purchasing a ticket with the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada (the “Foundation” or “Licensee”) for the Heart & Stroke VIP 50/50 Draw Lottery Spring 2018 (the “Lottery”), the Purchaser acknowledges they have read, understood, and agreed to these rules and regulations (“Rules”). “Purchaser” means a person: (i) purchasing a ticket(s) for his/her personal use; (ii) purchasing a ticket(s) on behalf of a group where the purchaser’s name and up to two additional names and/or a group name appear on all ticket(s), or (iii) purchasing a ticket that is allocated to a group of which the Purchaser is not a member. The Purchaser’s name shall always appear as the first name on any ticket purchased. All Purchasers are subject to these rules. The Foundation has no obligation or liability to any person named on a ticket other than the Purchaser.
All inquiries, if any, regarding the odds, conduct, prizing, and procedures of the Lottery are to be made to the licensee prior to the order of ticket(s).
Ticket Purchasers and any other persons named on a ticket must be at least 18 years of age. Tickets must be purchased within the province of Ontario and cannot be mailed outside of Ontario. Only tickets that have been paid and verified as paid prior to the final sales deadline are eligible. The Rules prohibit the following individuals and all persons residing in the same household as these individuals from purchasing a ticket: Employees and Directors of the Foundation; partners and employees of Deloitte LLP and its affiliates and employees of licensed gaming suppliers for this Lottery.
Tickets will be available for purchase until June 29, 2018, at midnight. The total number of 50/50 tickets available for sale is unlimited. Tickets are $10 each, $25 for a 5-Pack or $50 for a 15-Pack. All tickets in a 5-Pack or 15-Pack must be in name of the same purchaser. Ticket numbers will be issued in sequential order. The official ticket is a receipt of purchase. Ticket purchases are not tax deductible. Only one method of payment may be used per order. Purchases placed online or where an email address is provided will receive an order confirmation by email followed by an email containing the digital ticket numbers. Please allow 3 to 4 business days for receipt of emailed ticket numbers. Purchasers will have the option of requesting a physical copy of their ticket(s) at the time of purchase or by calling Customer Service at 1-844-512-1044. Requested physical ticket (s) will be mailed to the address provided at the time of the order (please allow a minimum of 14 business days). It is the Purchaser’s responsibility to ensure that ticket(s) are received before the draw commences. The Foundation is not responsible for orders that are not received on time or at all. Notwithstanding anything contained herein to the contrary, the total liability of the Foundation to any Purchaser shall be limited to the purchase price of the ticket.
Any requests to change the name on an official ticket must be received prior to the draw date. For mail orders only, the change of name must be accompanied with a copy of the Purchaser’s Government issued photo ID.

Ticket Sales Deadlines & Draw Dates

The winner of the VIP 50/50 Draw prize will receive 50% of the total accumulated jackpot. There is a minimum guaranteed payout of $45,000. The total jackpot is dependent upon the gross revenue generated from tickets sold.
The winning ticket will be drawn under the supervision of Deloitte LLP. The records of Deloitte LLP shall be deemed correct and final. The draw will take place at the offices of Deloitte LLP, Bay Adelaide East, 8 Adelaide Street West, Suite 200, Toronto, ON M5H 0A9. Prize will be drawn using Random Number Generator (RNG) software. The RNG software will generate one winning ticket number. Prize draws follow the licensing terms and conditions set by the licensing body, Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO). The draw will be for the 50/50 jackpot, only. Only tickets purchased by midnight, June 29, 2018 will qualify for the 50/50 Draw. The draw will take place on July 12, 2018 at 10:00 am.
Prize Winner Notification
The winner of the VIP 50/50 Draw will be notified in writing by Deloitte LLP and may also be contacted by phone. The Prize notification letter will be addressed to the Purchaser. The winner name will be posted on the Heart & Stroke Lottery website at www.VIP5050.ca and on social media on July 12, 2018.
The Foundation is only responsible for communicating with the Purchaser and is not responsible for any prize entitlement of any other individual(s).
The Prize will be awarded to the Purchaser named on the official ticket. By claiming a prize, the prize winner consents to the use of their likeness (photograph, if available), first and last name, ticket number, city or town of residence and transcription/recording of the winner notification phone call to be used for any publicity purposes by the Foundation. Please allow a minimum of 4 weeks for delivery of Prize from final draw date.
In order to claim the prize, two copies of government issued photo ID are required and the winner shall be required to execute a waiver in a form to be determined by the Foundation, releasing the Foundation and its directors, officers, and affiliates and all others described in the said form of all liability in relation to the prize awarded. This must be returned to the Foundation before a prize can be claimed. Prize must be claimed no later than six months after the final draw date. Unclaimed prizes will be reported and a charitable allocation to the Foundation will be approved by the AGCO.
